Antique fashion plates exhibition

For those of you in Brisbane, I’ve just heard about an exhibition of rare antique pochoir illustrations from early 20th Century Parisian fashion periodical Gazette du Bon Ton (which I think translates roughly as Journal of the Good Life – what a wonderful title!). The exhibition features plates circa 1913-25 and is on at the Antique Print & Map Company, corner Douglas and Dorsey Streets at Milton – open Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. I haven’t seen it in person yet, but I have had a sneak peak on their website, which prompted squeals of delight – especially when I laid eyes on this gorgeous Jeanne Lanvin mother-and-daughter set. Swoon!
