Progress update #3 – the first cushion

July 30, 2010 at 2:38 pm 1 comment

It’s been a long week of knuckling down and designing cushions for my exhibition – drawing is what I consider to be the hardest part of the process, but I’m getting there. Here’s a picture of the first felt cushion – it’s a dala horse with vintage rick rack and hand embroidery in wool and cotton…. Let me know what you think. The exhibition will be at The Coffee Supplier, which is a cafe in a little alleyway off Elizabeth Street in Brisbane City. I’m planning a breakfast opening on Friday 10 September so you’ll be able to pop in for a coffee before work and check out the show.
