A crafty end to the year

A while ago I entered a competition run by a local events website called Four Thousand to win the new book by the lady who runs Melbourne craft treasure trove Meet Me At Mike’s. In fact, it must have been a while ago because I had completely forgotten about it when I discovered a great big package on my doorstep yesterday. What a lovely way to end the year! I’d definitely recommend Sew La Tea Do for anyone who’s thinking about dipping their toes in the water to test out the world of crafting – it’s got lots of simple projects that more advanced sewers can extrapolate from as well. Here are a few pictures so you can see for yourself.

My favourite project: the fox quilt, of course!

A really simple belt project:

A small quilt inspired by fairy bread:

And the cutest play dress I’ve ever seen!

Hi Eileen- your Rob Ryan skirt sounds lovely, and your blog is looking as good as ever! I love the look of this book and the simple fact that it stays open… ingenious…
