One for the diary: Home Festival

Next weekend Mr A will be part of a free event called the Home Festival – it’s about all things homemade – which for him will mean hours of demonstrating his woodcut carving and relief printing, so it will be interesting to see what he makes in the process. There are heaps of other workshops and entertainment including a knitting circle, wardrobe market, sculpture, bicycle maintenance, screenprinting and cubby house building. I think I might need to check out the screenprinting one as I got some big screens at a garage sale a while ago and they’re still gathering dust under our house. The festival is on Saturday 9 April from 11am to 8.30pm and is at Raymond Park near the Pineapple Hotel at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane.

LATE BREAKING NEWS: This festival has been postponed due to the park being too wet. I’ll let you know when there’s a new date.
