Rob Ryan alert

I’m a big fan of artists who make their work accessible – like British papercut maestro Rob Ryan. His amazing original papercuts are highly collectable and even his screenprints are now worth hundreds of dollars each, but his work is also readily available in the form of not-so-everyday everyday items as well. Lately I’ve had my eye on the new Four Seasons plate set.

This bright bunting is very tempting too… I love the little envelope that says “Everything is going to be OK” and, of course, his trademark birds.

And then there are these sweet mugs.

In Australia, I know they’re available from Made590 in Sydney and Lark in Melbourne, but I’m sure you can find them in lots of other shops as well.

Oh those mugs are so romantic! Great wedding present. I love Rob Ryan too and he encloses a hand written note of thanks when you buy something from his shop… I’d love another print but might have to go for one of the more ‘accessible’ items for now!
