Beautiful buttons and other simple pleasures

On Friday night I headed to the Indie Twilight Markets in King George Square in Brisbane to check out the latest wares from some of my crafty colleagues about town. As well as old favourites Edward & Lily and Pannikin, I came across a new stall featuring ceramic pieces by a lovely lady called Pattie Murray. She’s made a beautiful selection of ceramic bangles, buttons and brooches with simple but striking designs. I bought this large ceramic button, which is about an inch-and-a-half in diameter (about 4cm) and I’m going to save it for next time I need a new tote bag – I’m thinking it will look great on red! If you fancy one of Pattie’s buttons too, keep an eye on her Etsy shop.
