Saturday Special: Simplicity 8068

This week’s pick from my Mum’s pattern collection (it still feels not quite right calling it mine) is a sweet summer dress from 1977 that would look super-cute in this navy daisy print cotton from my stash…  or in a plain coloured linen blend with contrasting top-stitching in embroidery thread to highlight the pockets. I think this one’s going to sit on the bottom of the to-do list for a while though because it involves my least favourite sewing technique: gathering.
