Vintage fabric find: red atomic barkcloth

This fabulous fabric is so red it made my camera have a meltdown! It’s so rare to find vintage fabric that has held its colour like this so I’m very excited about the cushions that I’ll be able to make – when I eventually get a moment.

Today’s task – in between doing a mountain of washing, baking some pumpkin and walnut bread, catching up with an old friend and drooling over this fabric – is to work on my next felt stamp cushion, a folk bird from Hungary. I’m going to experiment with some different rick rack today, so hopefully that works out…
