Saturday Special: Simplicity 5924

I do love a well made shift dress and there are a few to choose from here. This 1965 pattern is in pristine condition and has never been cut! I think View 4 would be stunning in raw silk (or a fabric woven to look like raw silk – something with a nice sheen and slightly nubby texture) but I also think a couple of those collars would lend themselves to being adapted into detachable collar patterns (like View 3 or View 5).
