The fruit of my labour

This weekend we’ve been enjoying some beautiful autumn weather in Brisbane, with crisp mornings and lovely sunny days. It’s great sewing weather and so far I’ve made a new whale stamp cushion for my Etsy shop and new storybook tree cushions for Absolutely Fabulous. Next on the list is a pair of Hawaiian girls cushions, also for AbFab. Regular readers will have already seen all of those, so here’s some fruit of a different kind of labour: for the past two months my blood orange tree has been diligently creating this palm-sized orange, despite being ravaged by a team of orchard butterfly caterpillars. I’m glad it doesn’t take that long to make cushions!
