The view from down here

With the advent of spring here in the Southern Hemisphere comes warmer days, beautiful sunsets and new shoots as the deciduous trees sprinkled around our neighbourhood come back to life. If you walk out onto our back deck and look straight up, this is the view. Along with the gorgeous rainbow of blues, greens, yellows and oranges on the skyline at dusk, we’ve been watching a wondrous process that happens every year – within the space of a fortnight or so, one of our trees sheds all of its leaves and puts on its new outfit in readiness for another long summer.
