Vintage fabric find: Cocktail hour barkcloth

My good fortune on the vintage fabric front continues… Check out this fabulous Mid Century barkcloth that’s just arrived – I’m dubbing it ‘Cocktail Hour’ because of its motif that looks like tiny toothpicks with olives on them. The colours are cherry red, bottle green and chartreuse on an ivory background with light grey shading.

The tiny toothpick-type shapes that look black in the photo above are actually a deep chocolate colour. There’s enough fabric for four or five pairs of cushions – can’t wait to sew with this fabric!
