A fashionable tome

My lovely sister Anne found a fabulous vintage fashion illustration book for me at a charity sale recently – it’s called Fashion Illustrated: A Review of Women’s Dress 1920-1950. Along with all the beautiful 1940s images (think Dior, Fath, Balmain, Balenciaga and Schiaparelli) it’s got tonnes of earlier illustrations including these glamorous 1920s ones…

And even more ladies with impossibly long torsos from the 1930s. What a wonderful find!
