Fabric find: Somerville Study

How lovely is this fabric?! It’s a new design from Alexander Henry called Somerville Study and I think I might have to get some just as soon as I can work out what I’d like to make from it. It’s fairly large scale – I’m told the books are about 3.75 inches high – so do you think it might work on a gathered skirt? Any and all suggestions welcome.

Gorgeous fabric!! Yes, a long, gathered skirt or even, with the scale of it, a lovely wall hanging. I like the ‘tawny plum’ version too.

Sometimes it would be so much easier to see fabric in person, but alas we don’t get any of these gems in our fabric stores here… I love the tawny plum colourway too!
