Fabric for all seasons

Thanks to the latest copy of Selvedge magazine, I’ve discovered another Mid Century fabric designer whose work is now being revived. Lana MacKinnon was a Scottish artist who was picked up by a number of big name fashion houses including Horrockses after she had some pieces included in the 1946 Britain Can Make It! exhibition. Now the Glasgow School of Art is making some of her fabric designs available via their Classic Textiles website, along with designs by Lucienne Day, Sylvia Chalmers and Robert Stewart.
I love Lana MacKinnon’s ‘Seasons’ fabric design and you should check out her ‘Ivy Faces’ one too. A bit pricey, but it’s nice to daydream, isn’t it?
