Vintage fabric find: Boys’ own adventure

I loved reading mystery and adventure stories when I was little (especially Enid Blyton ones) and that’s what this recent vintage fabric find makes me think of. It’s most likely an American design (that map is a bit of a giveaway), but it came from a lady who lives on the edge of the desert in South Australia.

This photo shows one pattern repeat, which is exactly the right size for the front of a cushion. Yes, I do really see everything in squares!
