Right under my nose

I went out for a walk at lunchtime today and discovered that there’s been an exhibition of vintage costumes right under my nose since December and I didn’t know about it! All Dressed Up: Costumes from Broadway to Hollywood features part of a locally owned collection, including items worn by Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, Bette Midler and Liza Minnelli.

This lovely frock featuring handmade pink fabric roses and some delicate lacework around the collar was worn by Samantha Eggar in Dr Dolittle in 1967 – definitely my favourite piece from this exhibition.

It’s on show at the Tony Gould Gallery at QPAC until Saturday 6 April if you want to visit it yourself or you can see more pics from the show on the Vintage Film Props and Costumes blog.
