Vintage fabric find: 70s turnpike

I got this great piece of 70s fabric from the lovely Zena when she was having her destash a little while ago. It’s actually curtain fabric, so I’m thinking it will work really well as a pair of over-sized floor cushions for a couple I know who have two young children – they’ll be virtually waterproof because of the sun-out backing, which I’m sure will come in handy.

According to the selvedge, the design is called ‘Turnpike’ – interesting that it has such an American name, as it was produced by Australian bedding manufacturer Sheridan.
