Saturday Special: Simplicity 6500

I found this pattern at the bottom of a box of 80s clangers from my Mum’s collection. It’s from 1975 and I can remember one of my older sisters had a valediction dress made in View 2, minus the bow on the back – it was a delightful 70s polyester in navy with marbling in green and white! I do like the bust detail and the tulip sleeves on View 1, but I’d probably give the bow on the back a miss as well.
