More embroidery treasures

Here’s the second instalment of pics from my new Japanese embroidery books… This one is full of trees, among other things. I love the way the different colour combinations of the same design can change the effect so much.
I can definitely see some tree embroidery in my future…
This one turned out to be as much about applique as embroidery, but it’s still full of interesting ideas because all the 1970s embroidery books that Ondori published were gold!
Here’s the fish page. I think my favourite is the one above the red turtle. Or maybe it’s the crab holding an umbrella. Too cute!
