A tangerine dream, a slice of melon and holiday blues

No, I’m not getting all tropical on you… That fruity headline is about a new batch of cushions that’s off to the California Design pop-up store at the Queensland Art Gallery.

I finally had a moment to make a pair of cushions from the tangerine colourway of that atomic asterisks fabric. They’re even more eye-popping than the black version!

I’ve used this reproduction barkcloth fabric into cushions before, but only in an oblong shape – I’m quite fond of the square version too.

And here’s a new pair of Vinyl Vacation cushions, but with handmade sky blue piping instead of the navy I’ve used previously. It gives them a much brighter feel to match the candy stripe backing, so I’m giving it the thumbs-up!
