Saturday Special: Simplicity 8119

Today’s pattern pick is a very fancy ensemble from 1949 – the pattern sleeve itself is a work of art! I love all the little details about this one: the gathers into the side seam at the bust, the buttoned shoulder straps, the scalloped edge to the side pockets. But best of all is the yoke-length bolero, particularly the version with long sleeves. Swoon!
