A day at the gallery: part 1

Last weekend Mr A and I braved the westerly winds by the river and headed out to see Transparent, the current exhibition of watercolours from the Queensland Art Gallery collection. There really are some amazing pieces in the show, including lots of works that will interest any local history buff. Our favourites were the landscapes, like this Kenneth MacQueen that brings back strong memories of my childhood and captures that wonderful sense of connection to the land that farmers feel for their patch of earth. The exhibition is on until 20 July. More pics on the QAGOMA blog.
