GOMA markets – paper boat press

This week I’ll be featuring a selection of my fellow stallholders as we count down to the GOMA Winter Design Market on Saturday 19 July. First up is local boutique ceramicist Kylie Johnson, who works under the banner of paper boat press and is one of the key people behind the GOMA markets.

Paper boat press is known for distinctive ceramic bowls, plaques and tags featuring inspirational quotes, super-cute ceramic bunting, cloud brooches and a range of paper goods. While white is normally the order of the day, you’ll see a splash of colour in Kylie’s new work at the markets, including the delightful turquoise brooches below.

You can visit paper boat press in person at the Ashgrove store or online in the paper boat press Big Cartel shop – or, of course, at the GOMA markets outside the Gallery of Modern Art in South Brisbane this Saturday.
