GOMA markets – Mabina Alaka

Also joining us at the GOMA Winter Design Market this Saturday is the lovely Mabina Alaka, with her exquisite handcrafted Japanese jewellery. Mabina works in fabric, leather and paper to produce incredibly detailed, eye-catching pieces. I was given a blue brooch like the one below and it attracts lots of compliments whenever it comes out. She sure knows how to turn an outfit into a showstopper!

Mabina is also generous enough to share her skills and runs workshops in jewellery making from time to time – keep an eye on her Facebook page for details.

You’ll find Mabina next to the Touch Wood Design stall at the GOMA markets this Saturday from 9am to 4pm. You can also buy Mabina’s jewellery on her website.
