Saturday Special: Advance 5710

Created by costume designer Charles le Maire for Joan Bennett in the very silly-sounding 1950 movie For Heaven’s Sake, this frock is snugly fitted to the waist (with maybe a few too many buttons to be practical!) before bursting into a flowing, full skirt. The bolero is a lovely touch though. One for the glamour file.
