Saturday Special: Simplicity 3486

Here I was thinking external darts were a newfangled thing! The slim version of this early 1960s dress features exactly that – I can see it in denim blue with a red belt for the perfect clash!

Junior and misses’ one-piece dress with two skirts: Dress has front button closing and small collar. V1 has full softly pleated skirt, set-in sleeves with turn-back cuffs, patch pocket and self or purchased belt. V2 sleeveless dress has left side zipper, top-stitching and belt carriers. Belt is purchased. Slim skirt has front waistline darts stitched on outside and back vent opening.
