Saturday Special: Simplicity 2648
What an ugly duckling of a pattern sleeve – this is a great example of how not to treat your precious vintage patterns! (The only thing the previous owner could have done worse is used cellotape, which turns yellow and then brown and totally destroys pattern sleeves.)
But what a beautiful pattern design from 1959! I think bateau necklines are the most elegant necklines there are (View 2)! And I love that this dress is all about the waist. Just gorgeous!
Misses’ one-piece dress: Dress has set-in sleeves, raised waistline. V1 has a high neckline. V2 features a bateau neckline. V3 features a V-shaped front neckline and bateau back neckline.
