Dreaming of dresses

I just discovered there’s a very exciting exhibition coming to our fine city – exciting for lovers of mid-century frocks, that is. It’s a show including garments that were featured in Charlotte Smith’s book Dreaming of Chanel – they’re from a collection of thousands of pieces of clothing that she inherited from her godmother Doris Darnell (imagine that!). The Dreaming of Chanel exhibition is on at the QUT Art Museum from 26 August to 16 October. Definitely one for the diary!
